Sarah USU

Jambo.
College is pretty fun. It takes me a long time to get close to people, as you know, so I've been chillin' along. With Joel's mystery problems, it's honestly been tough. But. First of all, my testimony and relationship with Christ and the Gospel has been expanding tremendously. I was reading the BoM again, truly wanting to find more, but I felt like I wasn't progressing. Then, I listened to Elder Scott's last conference talk, and have been writing down impressions, dreams, goals, and revelation this time through the good book, as well as praying with real intent before and after study to find what I need. It is so different from the other times I've read it. More and more light is being unveiled.

Second, I just went to a College of Natural Resources Leadership Retreat at Bear Lake (I'm CNR Service Director, yay). Finally there are people who have similar ideas and passions as I do! Our theme for Natural Resources week is something along the lines of: "More than hippies and cowboys, we are Natural Resources." We went paddle boarding and skinny dipping (we almost got caught by the neighbors who came out with flashlights), and in a get to know you game, I found out one of the 'cowboys' is 1/16 Cherokee, like me. Hahahaha. Native Americans represent...
And for Adrienne and Kenz, who will probably think I've found a boyfriend, WEARENOTDATING. (:
There's also this hippie who's going to help me fix my moccasins, go snowshoeing, and share music. There were four vegetarians there and veggie options at every meal. Happy. Freakin. Day. I get to hear, "Who's vegetarian? Your food is over here" instead of me sneaking carrots in a hot dog bun. I felt like crying when I could talk to people about it without feeling stupid and like a sinner (honestly, it's surprising how weird people can be about it). And as a side note, halfway for Kenz and old time's sake, there's this pretty cool kid that looks and acts EXACTLY like Matt M., only the swearing, drinking, environment-loving version. Strangely, his name is Patrick. Here he is.
Rooming with Annie has been WONDERFUL. We went to Yellowstone last week with Global Village, meeting people from all over the world. Fun. We've partied, had battles with the guys next door, and stormed the field when we beat the U. I love buying and making fresh, healthy food. Almond milk and green smoothies. Not to mention I know Steven really well now.
Well. I love you all. I hope with all my heart that you are doing well. I want you to know of my love for the Gospel and that I have such a testimony of Christ's love for me and each of us. I just love you. Keep telling me what you're all doing, please. And we've got to get together sometime. I'm coming down next weekend.
P.S. (Directed toward Lex) It's the birthday of...Frodo and Bilbo Baggins! HAPPY BIRTHDAY
